MBTS deliver what they promise.
I was fortunate enough to discover MBTS purely by chance and it is a chance encounter that has definitely paid off!
MBTS deliver what they promise. My alignment and posture have improved and the stress on my knees has been released when I exercise. Your whole body receives a workout just by wearing them. There is no doubt that MBTS have revolutionized the humble runner and I will no longer settle for anything less.

I FEEL GREAT
Having had 11 operations on my knee, I finally found a pair of shoes that were beneficial to my on going knee problems. I work at a reception within a hospital (wearing a pair of MBTs') - so I see my orthopedic surgeon on a regular basis. He noticed the improvement in my gait, when walking. I felt that it had improved and now 12 months down the track, I feel my overall health has improved. I FEEL GREAT. The orthopedic consultants send patients across to reception to talk to me about my MBTs. I'm now the owner of 3 pairs, my mothers has two pairs and just recently my father has invested in a pair having seen the benefits that my mother and I have achieved.

Love the shoes
I had to write to say thank you, my feet don't hurt anymore!!!!!!! I am a nurse and the feet are so important, if the legs and feet hurt, you are going to have a bad day,,,, I have had problems with my left foot for years, have spent hundreds of dollars on custom foot beds, shoes , chiropracter visits you name it I have spent money on relieving foot and back pain. The MBT when I tried my first pair, sneakers, it was so natural a walk, no pain, I can be on my feet for 18 hours and no pain, my left ankle doesn't swell up. I had to purchase a second pair of sandles because going back to my other shoes my feet hurt.... I could shout it from the roof tops, I am free of pain,,,,I love these shoes.....

At last footwear to write home about.
At last footwear to write home about.
As a result of a bus crushing injury, in 1995 I have a partial foot amputation, the first and second toes and the metatarsal of the first toe, (so no ball, no heel pad, and three toes). Most of my foot is fused together and walking is difficult, as I don’t have a push off with a big toe or flexibility in the forefoot. Now the third, forth and fifth toes are clawed as a result of compensatory techniques.
It was suggested to me by an orthopaedic surgeon to get a pair of MBT’s as the rocker motion would compensate for the lack of movement in my foot and ankle. Intrigued, I looked online and when I found out the cost I was reluctant to spend so much on shoes, as I have a wardrobe full of shoes that feel great for the five minutes you try them on in the shop but kill my foot wearing them for half a day.
It took me eighteen months to finally relent and purchase them a month ago and my only regret is waiting that long. I no longer need to place my foot half way over a step in order to step down, I can walk up a hill normally, I don’t limp as much, and my posture is looking much straighter. All this from one pair of shoes!! Who would have thought!
I am extremely grateful to Karl MÜller and the MBT team for engineering these wonderful mobility aids. I don’t have to worry about whether my orthotics will fit inside and whether I’ll be able to wear them all day, I know I can as all the models are based on the same technology and physiology, now shoe shopping is a pleasant and risk free experience for me again.
Thanks a million and keep the range growing.
An extremely grateful,

Not only for my back pain
Since i have worn MBT in the past 3months I am feeling so much better. I usually experience back pain when i go walking and standing for the long hours at work, especially because i am working as a full time sales assistant.
I am so glad I found the MBT's and I enjoy the MBTs everyday and can not stop wearing them all the time. Not only for my back pain, they also do tone up my legs.
Thanks again for this technology and i will always make sure that many people who have the problem I do can take full advantage of the MBTs and live a more healthy life style.

Pain free in MBT
As a 14 year old, Damon Kendrick lost his leg as a result of a shark attack whilst he was on duty as a lifesaver in South Africa. At 16, he went to university to study Physiology and Sport Science. Despite losing his leg, Damon went on to excel at a national level in Diving against able-bodied competitors and continued to push the limits taking on the flying trapeze at 29. Damon relocated to Australia in 1995 and pursued his new found skill for horse riding, taking 1st place in the Australian Championships for Carriage Driving in 2001. However, soon the water called and he went back to his childhood sport of swimming, competing in the World Masters Games in Edmonton in 2005 where he won 5 gold medals. Damon is an avid MBT wearer, claiming that he finds it difficult to wear any other shoe. “Never have I been so pain free in wearing my prosthesis… I can now walk further in my MBT’s than in any other shoe.”

These never wear their soles down or change their comfort
I have no idea how you make money - these never wear their soles down or change their comfort . I just give them a bath twice a year. They are the first all day, every day summer and winter shoes I have ever had -and both pairs have done an average of 6-9 hours a day since I have had them.
In January this year, my family and I spent a month in very cold China, looking for the sacred sites. It was minus 13 in some towns - I wore my MBT's in the ice, rain, snow and on the Great Wall , in the Temple of Heaven and in my home town HK. No damage, no regrets - great memories and one hell of a ride!
Thank you for bringing good technology into my life - and thank you for giving my body the ability to sustain the long hours on my feet lecturing at Uni with a fatigue zone that does not seem to exist .....until I sit down!!

My Story
In 1980, i fractured my navicular, and as a result of subsequent surgery, ended up with 3 bones grafted together. This allowed me to go about my life, although pain was ever present.
Over the years the pain has increased, and I have tried many alternatives to help me, with little real success.
Having to the point where I could no longer walk to excercise (Heart attack and triple bypass in 2001), I made an appointment to see ortho, Linda Ferris. She said that surgery would be the begginning of the fusion of many more bones in my foot, and why not try MBT to see if there was some solution.
I was ready to try anything, and purchased one pair of black business shoes. For the first two weeks i felt like Michael jackson doing the moon walk, and had many people looking at my shoes and wondering what was going on. I was very dissapointed, as the pain level remained, and I really felt that I had to move on to surgery.
Then it seemed magically that something happened. The pain level began to reduce, and I could walk more with little discomfort. Yippee!
I was now due to go overseas on holiday, and faced some heavy walking programs.
I know have climbed the leaning tower of Pisa, and completed three of the 4 walks at Cinqe Terra, all with in two days. Ask someone who has done the 5 village walk, and you will understand the achievemnet here. I have walked around NY, Rome, Tuscany, Venice, Lake Como, Milan and Istanbulwith little discomfort, although I do note that I still get funny looks.
So I am really happy with the result I achieved with MBT's, although I do have to steady myself on angled travelators, to stop from falling backwards, and I still seem to stumble, as I underestimate the depth of the sole on the shoe.
Many thanks for a great product, which is keeping major surgery at bay for now!

Me and the Masai Barefoot Technology 'MBT' shoes
In 1996, as a result of an old injury, many years earlier, the cartilage in one ankle joint had worn out and was fused by an experienced orthopaedic surgeon. Then, some six years later, as a result of this fusion, the sub-talar joint cartilage below it became aggravated to the extent of pain and swelling.
This problem led me to x-rays and then another orthopaedic (foot & ankle) specialist surgeon subsequently suggested that I first try some shoes which should be more suitable and may address my ankle problems without fusion surgery of the sub-talar joint; this I did about three years ago...
...I then purchased my first pair of MBT shoes and had also tried other 'special type' shoes which only bend towards the front of the sole, but have found them to be of no use to my ankle problem - I needed something to take the strain away from my ankle area.
The whole methodology of the MBT shoe has really helped me. Incidentally, I would not be at all surprised if this technology was of considerable benefit to other people who have these kinds of problems, or injuries - and possibly including some back weaknesses.
I can't tell you what a difference these shoes have made to me over the past three years. I now have three pairs of lace-ups; in black, dark brown and white walking/gym shoes; also, a pair of sandals - all of which to me are most acceptable styles.
I am now satisfied that I can get by without the dreaded thought of going through another fusion operation along with its debilitating consequences, for about six months post-op. A sub-talar joint fusion, in addition to my existing ankle fusion, is one thing I hope to go without!
I do hope that you can pass this information on, as is, to others who may need some background information, pain relief, mobility and 'walk-ability'; in the hope that my comments may help them make their own decisions.
In my opinion, it is most important that we take care of our joints, especially when they have been damaged and /or repaired.
Good luck and keep up the good quality and service of those MBT products.
Kind regards,
